Matthews Hope Homeless Outreach

Every day a new story is created, and dignity is re-birthed at Matthew’s Hope. Lives are being impacted in ways many believed impossible. For more than 2 years we operated our administrative offices as well as all our pantries in temporary facilities so to continue our many services until finding a suitable location to consolidate and expand our current services. We are excited to share, that in September we finally moved into a brand-new facility designed to our specifications and located just across the street from Orange Technical College on Story Road. Within the new facility, aside from our Administrative Offices. Our Forever Home includes our Food, Hygiene and Clothing Pantries and we tripled size of our Hope Chest Workshop; providing even more opportunities for our structurally challenged friends to move forward. We are now better equipped to care for our guests and develop additional community partners, thus providing more opportunities for medical, dental, optical and even mental healthcare assistance. In addition, with your support, this coming Spring we plan to add a Daycare to our Firm Foundation Preschool, build-out a new Outreach Center to include Showers, a Hair Salon and Mental Healthcare Offices. We hope to also re-establish our Harvest of Hope chemical free garden and aquaponics/aeroponics greenhouse. New zoning by the city of Winter Garden will allow for a roadside produce stand on 9th Street. Thanks to this community, and using no government funding, thousands of homeless men, women and children have been served through Matthew’s Hope since our opening day on March 30, 2010. Renewed hope and restored dignity takes place daily because of your investment of time, treasures and talent at Matthew’s Hope. Our goal, working as a community, is to help many more additional fathers, mothers, sons and daughters come in from the woods, out of hotels and their cars to find a way to get their lives back. Even though we’ve served so many, there are still many more in our community that we have yet to help and with you and your support we can continue to move many more lives towards a life of independence and self- sustainability.
