Our Story
The California Association for Recycling All Trash (CARAT) was formed in 2021 to increase recycling and reduce plastic pollution. CARAT has successfully persuaded more than 1,000 grocery stores in California to accept the return of bottles and cans. CARAT is publishing a 150 page book Plastic Pollution Solution that provides a plan to significant reduce plastic pollution worldwide with legislation and an international treaty.
