Allow me to introduce you to Building One Community. We are a non-profit organization that is on a mission. I am the mother of a beautiful 10-year-old son with Cerebral Palsy, his name is Johnathan, and I know first-hand how challenging it can be to raise a child with special needs. I am grateful to have an outstanding support group that many families do not have. I’ve been fortunate enough to work for a great company for many years. The owner of my company was my greatest support, he has a very big heart and is an overall great human being. We decided to start a support group to help families in our community with disabilities, members with any physical, cognitive or hidden disability. Life is hard enough and we want to do our part to make it easier by creating a barrier free space within the comfort of their own homes. The modifications of the homes is to suit all types of needs, creating a more “normal” and at ease lifestyle. These modifications can vary anywhere from having wider door openings, ramps, and door push bars, bathtubs with doors that benefit the caregiver with lifting, straining and assisting the person with disabilities. Please join us on this mission at Building One Community. Together, we can give families with disabled children the support they need. Thank you, Building one Community President Marie Molina Director of Marketing and Networking Julieta Arguello

The Children’s Aid Society helps children in poverty to succeed and thrive. We do this by providing comprehensive supports to children and their families in targeted high-needs New York City neighborhoods.

Children's Aid Society

Our caring begins even before birth, through prenatal counseling and assistance, and continues through the high school years with college and job preparatory training programs. All aspects of a child’s development are addressed as he or she grows, from health care to academics to sports and the arts. And because stable children live in stable families, a host of services are available to parents including housing assistance, domestic violence counseling, and health care access.

The Children's Defense Fund Leave No Child Behind® mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.

Supported by foundation and corporate grants and individual donations, CDF advocates nationwide on behalf of children to ensure children are always a priority.

We believe overcoming childhood trauma should not be a life sentence. At CBC of Central Florida, we want to give youth thrust into the foster care system what they need most: a hope-filled future and a path to success. Help us continue to safely care for our community’s most vulnerable youth and let them know they are not fighting this war alone.

Community Based Care of Central Florida Foundation

Changing lives is a big job, which is why we need your help. We know that not everyone is able to donate a car, but did you know your spare change can go a long way towards supporting a child in foster care? For just pennies, you can help our teens and youth transitioning out of foster care with securing transitional housing, achieving higher education, and learning life skills (like doing laundry or cooking!) that that so many of us take granted. For just pennies, you can help youth in foster care imagine the possibilities of a brighter tomorrow.

Founders: Tim and Joyce Fake Exe. Dir./Chaplin: Johnnie R. Neal This is an exciting time @ Fort Barachel Foundation! We desire to impact our student/athletes & young adults. while serving our community. Seeking different ways to encourage each of them! Leading them to believing in God and the helping them discover their place in God's story! Offering weekly equipping and training sessions to those who desire to know and experience God (on a daily bases). Going: UP, IN, and OUT UP: with God- to strengthen their faith and relationship, while receiving daily direction. IN: with our weekly small groups and activities. OUT: to make impact our community by offering a safe place to ride and teaching them to place others above ourselves. ? Why Barachel? Barachel means “ one whom God has blessed”. In the early 60’s, Tim's father started a camp in Eastern Pennsylvania for inner city youth called Camp Barachel. His father would take local youth and group of counselors to camp in the mountains. They would experience God's creation in nature, while receiving a chance to respond to God's personal invitation: to experience God's forgiveness and have a life changing relationship through Jesus Christ. Our Desire: What better way to continue and honor what Tim's father started than reach into a culture, whose reputation sometimes keeps them from hearing the gospel and having a real life change. Fort Barachel Foundation wants to open a door and build a bridge, to break into the stereo typical reputation of action sports athletes. Our passion and desire is to show them God's love and compassion. While sharing that God will take them as they are BUT He wants to give them a new life in Christ! To experience life to the fullest (John 10:10) here on earth and with Him for all eternity (John 3:16). Fort Barachel is a light in the midst of darkness. Creating a safe place FOR ALL to belong and be accepted. Each month we offer Serve Opportunities @ Fort B.: Operation Serve (we call- Serve Opps.) Engaging our community for impact while serving those in need here and around the world. We would love to build an Action Sports Complex! To offer after school programing and mentorship for those who need help in school and safe place to ride. To host action sports events. A place for each individual to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Together your small amount of change (#changegivingapp), in addition to God's unlimited resources, allows us to CHANGE lives forever.

TheTimeTravlrs are a team of DJs from around the world that have decided to make a difference in the lives of Zambian children. How? By raising $5,000 to build a new school so that 25 children get an education and are finally able to break free from the poverty gap. Why Zambia Africa? Mark, a team member of the DJ group, lives in Zambia and has family there now that are doing missionary work in a very big way. They are working through a nonprofit company called Enright Flight Ministries which was started in 1992 by some of the very first missionaries in southern central Africa, who happen to have been Mark's grandparents!

Love Zambia

The new school will provide a one-on-one education for the students as well as a meal everyday. Take note that this is often times the only meal that these children get during a day. The school also provides teachers that work alongside the children that make sure that they succeed because we realize how important it is that they learn rather than 'pass a test'. Luckily, all of these kids want to learn and grow in their faith, but they don't have the money to pay the local school fees which include new uniforms as well as supplies. Most of these children also lack a role model in their life that they can lean on for encouragement in their faith as well as their education. The crazy part… building this school is 100% possible through this change giving app that has given every person with a debit card and a caring heart the chance to make a real difference in the world. This is absolutely life changing for the kids that will be going to this school. It will give them a leg up in life as these students are equipped with the skills to get a good paying job so they can provide for their families. Without education, the average Zambian worker will make five dollars/day working sunrise to sunset. This is due to the large amount of uneducated people desperate for work. Knowledge is power and allows for a better job that pays more money. A lot of the students will be the first person in their family to get a real education. I don't know about you, but I think that is pretty incredible!! If you are inspired to get on board with us as we build these kids a school, download the app and tell all of your friends about it! Get them excited to help make the future brighter for these children too! If they use the excuse that they don't have enough money, realize that it's possible to donate as little as ten dollars a month from spare change! That amount times 500 people for one month will change lives in a very real way for a child that survives on less than one dollar a day. Thank you in advance for joining our movement as we show these Zambia children what truly selfless love looks like!

At YouthRoots, it’s about helping our communities. It’s about making sweeping local change. But behind the scenes, it’s about teaching a group of teenagers to "fish". See, we remember being teenagers. We remember having lofty goals, faith in humanity, and little fear of failure… And we also remember people who told us why our big ideas couldn’t work. Frankly, though, it’s up to the next generation to determine how to make their big ideas work. It’s up to today’s teenagers to solve tomorrow’s problems. And instead of tossing up limitations or naysaying their dreams, we want to give them the tools and mindset to do it.

YouthRoots

Using philanthropy as our classroom, YouthRoots engages high school students in personal development, community partnerships, and innovative ventures to foster leadership, integrity and social action, therefore cultivating a network of thriving adults who envision a better future and realize their full human potential.
